Oliver and his friends, Eric and Lou, were curious little caterpillars
who enjoyed crawling through the grass all hours of the day. They left
their homes early in the morning, and returned home late, after having
wandered through beautiful gardens and orchards all day long.
One day, they arrived home later than usual. On this particular day, they saw a Blue Jay flying through the orchards he stopped to chat with the young |
caterpillars. Fortunately, Jay was a friendly bird who
did not want to eat the little caterpillars, as many birds do. Oliver,
Eric, and Lou suddenly realized how late it had gotten, it was almost
after dark! They crept home, and upon arrival at Oliver’s house they
found their parents waiting. They were all very worried about their
little caterpillars.
